Party planning? Here is a fun idea for your winter showers.

Throwing a shower for a loved one can prove to be stressful. Not only that but if you tackle this task alone it can cost some serious cash. My friends and I hosted an amazing baby shower for our bestie and I thought I would share the idea.

This theme could be used on any party really. Kids birthday? Wedding shower? Baby shower?

Make your guests feel welcome

Keep the games to a minimum.

One to two games is more then enough.

We played the traditional “who knows mommy to be best”. This game is easily transferable to other types of showers.

What to eat:We wanted to please all palettes.

  • Corn chowder for the vegetarians.
  • Traditional chili
  • Sweet chili

As main dishes everyone had something that suited their needs.

Snacks

  • Goldfish crackers for the kiddos
  • Trail mix
  • Cheese and crackers

Something sweet to tie everything together

  • squares
  • cupcakes

With a team of girls we managed to host a food filled lunch for approximately 30 guests without breaking the bank.

Disclaimer: My amazing friend hosted this gathering; I was just on the planning committee!
