Raeanne’s most prized possession is her bible. She was absolutely devastated to lose it during a recent encampment fire. Luckily, she wasn’t injured that fire.
Raeanne grew up a “church girl..(attending church) three times a week; twice on Sunday”
Since the fire, Raeanne was able to replace her bible.
She grew up going to cadets and has survival skills that enable her to survive living houseless. She told me, not everybody has these skills. She takes great pride in supporting her peers as “head of the house… mother of the kins”.
Once staying on the salvation army stairs, huddled with others for warmth, she now focuses her energy on preparing for the upcoming winter season. What I learned, is Raeanne is not only an advocate for herself. She is also an advocate for other people living without a house. She is resourceful and she is a survivor.
I believe in bucket-filling (a little twist on the bucket list). I want a platform to share my artform(s) that already fill my bucket. I have the degree(s). I survived the young child rearing years. I've landed the leadership dream job. It's time to fill my bucket. Focus on what lights my fire. Rebranding this blog (yet again) to meet me where I am at in this journey called life. I will share my creative writing. I will share my photography. I will share my thoughts on this crazy journey we call life. I like to keep it real. I refuse to live up to "the image". I don't use filters. What you see (read) is what you get. I hope you enjoy the read and I will try to balance what I share in a meaningful way. Ultimately, I keep this blog for me. You (my imagined audience) are an awesome bonus!
